Laurie Bond - Pioneer of the three-wheeler dies at 67.

In 1960 Laurie invited Jon to join him at Lawrence Bond Cars at Loxwood in Sussex where they built the first two Bond Formula Junior cars.

In the late 1950’s Laurie designed a small front engine sports car which was manufactured under licence by Berkeley Caravans at Biggleswade. Jon Goddard-Watts raced the Berkeleys from 1957- 1960.

In the 1940’s Laurie Bond designed the Bond Minicar manufactured by Sharps Commercials in Preston. This 3-wheeler was a popular economy car after the Second World War.
